Group Acca is a free app for groups of friends who want to make football picks together. Everyone picks, the app tracks results live, and the leaderboard settles the banter. It is not a bookmaker: it never takes bets and never holds or moves money.
A group acca is a set of football picks that a group makes together. Each member makes their own picks, and the app tracks every result so you can see how the group got on and who is top of the table. Any bet a group chooses to place is its own decision and is made outside the app.
No. Group Acca is not a bookmaker and never takes bets. If a group decides to have a bet, that happens outside the app and is entirely up to that group.
Yes. The app is free to download and free to play. Nothing is staked through the app.
No. You can join a group, make picks and follow the leaderboard without placing a bet or having a bookmaker account.

The weekend group is Group Acca's own community group, open to everyone. Each week there is an acca that opens on Wednesday and closes on Friday evening. You make 4 picks, earn points for every pick, and climb the monthly and season leaderboards.
Open the Groups tab in the app, tap the community group and confirm. There is no join code. Your name and photo appear on its leaderboards.
No. The weekend group is open to anyone, so you can play a group acca without organising mates first. You can also start your own group with friends, and be in both at the same time.
Share your group's join code or invite link from the group dashboard. Drop it into your group chat and members can join straight away.
Every group has one admin, who sets up the group by choosing its name and sharing the join code. Any group member, including the admin, can then create accas within the group.
Any group member can create an acca. You do not need to be the group admin. The admin controls group-level settings, but creating accas is open to everyone.
Yes. A group can have several accas running at once, each with its own settings. The number of picks, leagues and dates are all set when the acca is created, so one group can run a weekend acca and a separate midweek one together.
No. The number of picks, the leagues and any stake amount are fixed when the acca is created. This keeps the rules the same for everyone from the moment picks open. If you need different settings, create a new acca.
Yes. Once an acca is locked, members can no longer edit their own picks, but the admin can edit picks on behalf of any member where needed, for example if someone cannot get into the app.
A good range on every fixture: a team to win or the draw, both teams to score, over or under goals, a result plus both teams to score, and less common ones like double chance and draw no bet.
Group Acca Predicts are quick, informed picks built into the app's pick screen and into our Matches page. Filter any day's fixtures by BTTS, Over 1.5, Over 2.5 or Result Predict to see what our model likes, then make your picks faster. They are statistical estimates, not advice, and nothing is guaranteed.
The Matches tab in the app shows every upcoming fixture across the supported competitions, and our Matches page on the website shows them too, with live scores and Predicts.
When you add picks to an acca, fixtures are filtered by that acca's setup. A fixture that kicks off before the acca's deadline, or outside its date range, cannot be selected, so nobody can pick a match that has already started. It still shows in the Matches tab.
Yes, as long as the acca is still open. Once the deadline passes and it locks, members can no longer edit their picks.
The acca's deadline has passed. Members can no longer add or edit their own picks, and results update in the app as the matches are played.
No. Group Acca does not take bets or process, hold or transfer any money. If your group plays for a stake, payments happen directly between members outside the app, by bank transfer, cash or Monzo. The app only shows who has marked themselves as paid.
If the person collecting adds their Monzo username to their profile, Group Acca creates a direct payment link for each member. Tapping it opens Monzo with the collector's details and the amount filled in. The member then marks themselves as paid in the app, and the collector can reverse that if the money has not arrived. We have no access to any Monzo account, and no money passes through Group Acca.
That is up to your group. Group Acca tracks results and who has paid. How you settle up is a private matter between members.
No. Group Acca is independent of every bookmaker. It records picks and tracks results, nothing more.
